Although there is still a long way to go until the introduction of Qualcomm’s next flagship system-on-chip called Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the performance scores of the early versions of this chip are available.
Based on the information that Tech_Reve shared, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 achieved an average score of 280 fps in the GFXBench ES3.1 test. In comparison, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 score in this measure reaches 220 fps, and this means that the next generation of Qualcomm’s flagship chip will be improved by 25-30% in terms of graphics power compared to its current version. According to previous reports, the Adreno 750 GPU in Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will perform up to 50% better than the current generation of this chip, which uses Adreno 740.
Although exact numbers are not available from early Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 benchmarks, the chip scored 1600,000 on the Antoto benchmark. Asus ROG 7 Ultimate smartphone is currently at the top of Antoto’s top list with a score of 1330011. This means that the overall performance of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 compared to Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 has improved by 20% in the mentioned benchmark.
However, there are still about four months left until the introduction of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, and the revealed statistics of this chip’s performance cannot be considered completely accurate.
